Mount Waialeale, located on the island of Kauai, Hawaii, is known as the wettest place on Earth, with rainfall for approximately 335 days a year. Its name in Hawaiian means "dripping water," reflecting its unique and extremely wet nature.

The mountain, with a height of 1,569 meters, receives an average of 11,500 mm of annual rainfall, a phenomenon caused by the trade winds that transport humid air from the Pacific Ocean. As it hits the steep slopes, the air rises, cools and condenses, generating constant rainfall that sustains an exuberant ecosystem full of life.

This combination of climate, geography and vegetation makes Mount Waialeale a natural treasure and a symbol of the abundance of water on the planet. Beyond its record, it reminds us of the importance of rain as a source of life, balance and renewal of ecosystems, and how its presence is fundamental to sustaining biodiversity and ensuring the future of our planet.
